Abstract

The nature and distribution of damage in Scotland attributed to the anthomyiid Pegomya rubivora to canes of Tayberry, a hybrid of raspberry and blackberry, and of a cultivated blackberry, Ashton Cross, is described. The host range of the insect and the possible source of infestation are discussed, together with possible control measures.
