Abstract

Soil drenches of captan (3000 p.p.m.), dichlofluanid (3000 and 6000 p.p.m.), fentin hydroxide (3000 p.p.m.), and streptomycin (3000 p.p.m.), significantly decreased the level of disease in strawberry plants inoculated with mycelial discs and zoospore suspensions of Phytophthora fragariae in pot experiments. Only dichlofluanid was better than Bayer 22555 (fenaminosulf) at 1750 p.p.m., a.i. which was included as a standard treatment.
